I made this card for the Inkspirational Challenge. I usually don't get too excited about sketch challenges or copying other cards but I liked the cards at Yvonne's Blog. The challenge was to CASE (copy and share everything) one of Yvonne's cards posted on her blog. So I went all the way back to June 15, 2012 to find A Lifetime of Memories.
This card had a subject I liked (nature), Distress techniques, and a color palette that was attractive to me. When I saw the left side of the card, I knew I wanted to use a tag there.
The base card is trimmed down to a 5" square and the background "paper" is actually the front of a notecard someone had sent to me a while ago. It's just been sitting in my stash. I loved the flower motif along the right side so much that I didn't want to cover it up with another element. So I just added a small banner sentiment.
I've been trying to clean off my craft table this week and use up a lot of scraps and basically that's all this card is.
Amazing how things come together with a little inspiration!

This is a CASE. The colours are so soft and the stamping perfect. Thanks for joining us at Ink
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card. I love how you've recycled and used bits of your craft table. I love the spotty background and the little 'thank you' banner. Thank you for joining us at Inkspirational Challenges. Come back next time! Marina
