I have to admit that this free digi-image download from A Creative Need is just fantastic. It's a cupcake that has detail and looks realistic but has room for adding color. It's not too hard to cut out either as I did for my card!
The challenge was Blue, Yellow, Pink with this as the inspiration photo:
So with my sister ready for a card-making day, I made this:
More Cake!: I printed out a whole sheet of mini cupcakes (the free download linked above) onto white cardstock. I colored them in with Distress Markers (scattered straw, tumbled glass, spun sugar, gathered twigs). On the pink cardstock background, I stamped a circle stamp from Inkadinkadoo in Stampin' Up ink...I think it was Pretty Posies?? The sentiment is from a Fiskars set of birthday wishes. Cut it all out and adhered it down. I just added the lines around the outside to finish it off.
Usually it takes me a few tries to get a card that I like enough to post but this one came together on the first attempt.
I'll be using more of these mini cupcakes (or maybe larger...great thing about digi-stamps)! They're good enough to eat!!
